“To streamline the development of the game we decided to base the events of the game on the plot points of a story I wrote early in the process. This made it possible for us to tell a story without using traditional forms of story telling like text or dialogue.”

Hospitalskatten kurt

Hospitalskatten Kurt is a game that was developed in cooperation with the chemo-ward of the central hospital of Copenhagen. The game is an AR title created for smartphones for children of the ages 5-10.

The player scans images in order to play AR based mini-games. The images would be spread out in the public areas of the hospital. We wanted to do this to activate and encourage long term patients to explore their surrounding and make them feel less unfamiliar.

My roles:

  • Character design
  • Animation
  • Props
  • Effects

Our approach to making this game was to create simple yet fun gameplay, where the main dynamics of the game came from the local-multiplayer aspect, making the company of other players a factor as well.

Making sure the game felt good to play was a major aspect of the games success. By focusing heavily on feedback and effects the game was able to feel more alive and impactfull.

Robotrun

Puzzels, stealth and drones.

Robotrun is a single player stealth-puzzle game for PC. The player must navigate a world inspired by Blade Runner and Metal Gear Solid to find keycards in order to progress into new areas. Avoid enemies by hiding from their line of sight

This title was purely an academic study to gain new skills pathfinding, controller input, rigging and texturing.

My roles:

  • Scripting
  • Modeling
  • Texturing
  • Rigging
  • Lighting
  • Effects
  • Animating

“By using Unitys pathfinding system with Playmaker I was able to create a dynamic patrol and chase system for the enemies”

“The player would rotate the camera using their right analog stick, and move their character with the left. Pressing the right analog stick would cause the camera to snap into place where the character is looking. This was to prevent frustration in high paced situations.”
